“MEAT” THE FLYING M BUTCHERY TEAM

Flying M Butchery is a joint Venture between the Braden and Morgan Families. 

James and Bailey Morgan own and operate a small herd of Registered Polled and Horned Hereford Cattle in Andrews, Texas. Both the Braden and Morgan families have historically sold their cattle at "The Markets" across West Texas and Eastern New Mexico. As COVID-19 has demonstrated, we have a missing link in our beef supply line. During 2020, cattle market prices for ranchers were slashed due to the pandemic, while beef prices in the store rose to the end consumer. 

The Morgans decided to take the power away from the the Big 4 (Tyson Foods, JBS, Cargill, and National Beef) and provide a beef cattle processing facilities to our community. This allow residents to bring there cattle to our facility and have them harvested and packaged. Additionally we offered processing under U.S.D.A. inspection. This will allow you to bring us your cattle and have them processed under inspection. Then the customer will be able to turn around and sell their own beef to anyone in the United States. This will allow ranchers to have another option with their cattle, a direct to consumer model.

    Whit and LaShae Braden own and operate Flying M Beef and Flying M Butchery. The name FLYING M BEEF came from the ones that inspire us on a daily basis, our children; MacKenzie, Macelyn, and Kase. We are proud to say that we are 100% family owned and operated.

    We are located in Garden City, Texas. We are about an hour south of Midland and an hour west of San Angelo in Central West Texas.

    James and Bailey Morgan own and operate a small herd of Registered Polled and Horned Hereford Cattle in Andrews, Texas. James serves as operations manager of the processing facility, knowledge from when the cattle get her to when they leave in boxes and everything in between.
